In February 2021, we launched the BODA Buyback initiative—our commitment to circular fashion and sustainable luxury. This program gives you the opportunity to sell your pre-loved BODA leather jackets back to us while also allowing you to shop exclusive pre-owned and sample pieces through our highly anticipated annual global sample sale.

Our premium leather jackets are crafted from responsibly sourced leather, exclusively derived as a byproduct of the food industry. We partner with trusted suppliers who uphold the highest standards of animal welfare, ensuring humane living conditions and strict adherence to ethical regulations. By working with farms that prioritize sustainability and maintain certified responsible practices, we guarantee transparency in every step of our sourcing process.
Sustainability is at the heart of our craftsmanship. Each leather jacket is meticulously hand-studded and painted in-house, allowing us to minimize waste and reduce our environmental impact. By overseeing production directly, we cut down on excessive transportation, significantly lowering our carbon footprint while maintaining the highest level of quality and craftsmanship.
We are also dedicated to eco-friendly packaging. Every order is shipped using recycled and sustainable materials, including biodegradable tissue paper, recyclable cardboard boxes, and eco-conscious labels. This thoughtful approach ensures that our luxurious leather jackets arrive in packaging that aligns with our commitment to sustainability, reducing waste while delivering an elevated unboxing experience.

From our cardboard shipping boxes to packing tape, all our packaging is designed to be minimal in order to be recycled or reused. We ship via DPD + DHL worldwide, other than the UK domestic where we use Royal Mail - all companies working on becoming carbon neutral.
We host our website with Shopify and use their service ShopPay to process most of the payments through our stores. All orders that are processed using ShopPay are automatically offset for Carbon through Shopify’s Sustainability Fund. Shopify invests $5M annually in the most promising solutions to fight climate change. Their goal is to help prove, scale, and commercialise climate technology for massive impact in the long term. Commerce and entrepreneurship can only thrive in the long term if our planet thrives too and Shopify’s Sustainability Fund invests to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to help just that.
LEATHER + SHEARLING
We are currently working with our suppliers to make all of our jackets from chrome-free + vegetable tanned leathers.
Chrome-free tanning can be further classified as mineral and vegetable based where the tannings are derived from plants and all leathers are used as a byproduct of the food industry.
This sustainable process avoids the use of any harmful chemicals and reduces any environmental impact and the need for water resources to achieve entirely biodegradable products.
PUFFERS
We developed our Nylon Down Puffer using the finest Responsible Down Standard (RDS) Certified fill.
The combination of down (90%) and feather (10%) provides lightness, warmth, moisture absorption and breathability. The RDS is an independent, voluntary Global Standard that ensures the down and feathers that we use come from humanely treated animals.
JERSEY
Our jersey offerings are handcrafted from 100% organic cotton that is Global Textile Standard (GOTS) certified.
GOTS is the highest global organic standard and it ensures the organic status of textiles, from the harvesting of the raw materials through to environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing.
WHAT WE’RE ACTIVELY WORKING ON:
Product Development.
Every piece of clothing undergoes multiple processes that impact the planet, which is why we’re dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint at every stage of production. From responsibly sourced materials to eco-conscious packaging and innovative design, sustainability is at the core of everything we do.
Sustainable Leather + Shearling.
We work closely with our leather and shearling suppliers to enhance traceability, chemical transparency, and chrome-free, non-hazardous tanning methods. By prioritizing certified green factories and sustainable techniques, we ensure that our luxury leather jackets and hardware are crafted to last a lifetime while meeting the highest environmental standards.
Eco-friendly + Outerwear Puffers.
Our commitment to sustainability continues to evolve as we explore innovative materials that enhance performance, durability, and environmental responsibility. We incorporate regen recycled nylons made from pre-consumer waste, which are 100% Global Recycled Standard-certified, conserving petroleum resources. We also partner with globally recognized brands to develop eco-friendly insulation, using fibers sourced from recycled PET bottles for maximum warmth and sustainability.
Jersey.
We are dedicated to refining our jersey collections with sustainable fabrics, dyeing techniques, and washes. Our goal is for all jersey products to meet the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) by using organic fibers, minimal chemical input, and low-impact processing, ensuring that every piece is made with the planet in mind.
Zero-Waste Packaging.
Our ultimate goal is zero-waste packaging. We’re making strategic changes to minimize environmental impact, such as using recycled and reusable materials, including eco-friendly cardboard packaging. We are also developing multi-functional packaging solutions that extend beyond transit use, ensuring that sustainability is embedded in our business at every level.
Ethical & Responsible Suppliers.
As we grow, we remain selective about the factories we partner with. Our aim is to exclusively work with ‘Green Factory’ certified facilities and members of the Leather Working Group, ensuring they align with our values of sustainability and ethical craftsmanship. We are also collaborating with existing suppliers to improve waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable production practices. By cutting hides to size before tanning and only transporting usable leather, we significantly reduce waste and greenhouse gas emissions.
